Who is Mike Magdaleno?
Mike was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley (California). Growing up, Mike had friends in gangs and he’s even been shot at in “drive-by” shootings--fortunate enough to have never been hit, but unfortunate enough to be in that situation. He knew that a life in San Fernando would lead to trouble, and he knew he needed to get out.
Two days after his 18th birthday, Mike moved to Colorado to go to a community college. While attending college, Mike got a job at an audio production company, but because of the economy he was laid-off after working there two years.
Mike then moved back to California to start a modeling/acting career. Although he can be seen as a glimpse in various shows and advertisements, he never made it to the “big time” (AAHHHH).
After hearing that he was going to have a daughter in Colorado, he decided to move back to Colorado where he landed a job as a project manager for a worldwide web-casting company. There, he learned all aspects of audio and video production. He traveled around the U.S. learning from different departments and from various companies. Unfortunately tragedy struck again, when the company decided to move the department to Canada, and laid-off the whole team.
Mike decided to go back to school for a criminal justice degree with a minor in behavioral science. While in school Mike worked for the Colorado Department of Correction, and still not quite letting go of entertainment, he became a SUPER HERO; He was “Robin” in the “Batman and Robin Stunt Show” at Six Flags Elitch Gardens.
In 1998 he became a Police Officer. As a Police Officer, Mike received many praising letters commending him for his services. He even made the local newpaper once for successfully disarming a man with a knife.
Mike studied Martial Arts for many years. Although he won many martial arts competitions, in 2000, he became the International Martial Arts Association Champion and in 2001 he was "Runner-Up (2nd place)" in the Denver Tough Man competition, fighting a 205lbs person when Mike was only 155lbs.
But Mike was meant to be an entrepreneur. In 2001, Mike left the Police force and started an investigations company, specializing in Bounty Hunting. From 2001 thru 2004 he arrested over 100 people in various states, and released over $1,000,000.00 in bail money.
In 2004 Mike divorced, and because Bounty Hunting was so demanding, he made the decision to terminate the investigations company in order to spend more time, and give more attention to his children.
Since he had some experience with audio, video, and production, he decided to work with an audio visual company. From 2004 to 2008 he set up audio/visual equipment, provided audio/visual needs to many hotels, and produced shows. His last position was to successfully open The Ritz-Carlton Denver’s audio visual department as the Assistant Director of Audio Visual.
In March of 2008, and after an incredibly successful opening of The Ritz-Carlton Denver, Mike decided to plunge into entrepreneurship again, and started The Conference Experience, Inc.
